In 2009, we went hunting for the Dighton Rock site and found that the "rock" had been moved into its own little home in what is now Dighton Rock State Park. But then we had to hunt for a Park ranger to let us in to see it. Eventually we managed to get some photos.
The "rock" was enclosed in a glass cage and was lit from below. Which means that the lighting sucked - lots of glare and reflection. But it was better than not seeing it at all.
While these are definitely petroglyphs, they may not have been created by Indians. There are at least a dozen different theories about their origin, including Vikings, Phoenicians, Egyptians, Portuguese and aliens - among others. They do not resemble any other petroglyph panels that we've seen.
